  About Us

Spice Grill is a pride project started by Mr. G.S. Chauhan, whose background in the food and beverage industry speaks volumes. Mr. G.S Chauhan started in the food and beverage industry back in the 80’s working for a well known name like the Maurya Sheraton in Delhi, India. While working in India, Mr. Chauhan delighted in adventures like the All India Motor bike expedition, which he went with a few friends for a period of 45 days. The event was sponsored by big companies like The Sheraton Group and Suzuki Group. This experience is recalled by Mr. Chauhan as one of his most priced achievements in life. He later went on to join Carnival Cruise and Royal Caribbean Cruise lines, as  a  bar tender and wine steward. While working for the cruise he thoroughly enjoyed what he did and visited many different places. Mr. Chauhan loves to travel and thus enjoyed while on the cruise.

Here in the U.S. he joined The Akbar restaurant in Long island, NY as an assistant manager and later became the general manager. While at Akbar, Mr. Chauhan came to be well known for his interpersonal skills and his leadership. His knowledge in the hospitality industry was a learning opportunity for his junior colleagues that worked with him. He was known to work with his staff in unity and always believed and stood by team work. Mr. Chauhan worked in Akbar for about 13 years and built some great clientele and  business for the restaurant in his leadership before he decided to begin his own place.  

Spice Grill has been started a little over 2 years and thus far the response has been great. Mr. Chauhan is a very passionate entrepreneur and is present at his place of work seven days  a week. He is personally available for the guests and feed backs and suggestions you may have. He takes pride in his work and it shows if you ever see him work. He has maintained his service and quality of food since the start as customer satisfaction is his number one priority. With a good response from the Route 46 location, he decided to start another location in East Hanover which is now up and running. He is also expanding the 46 location with a banquet hall which is just about ready and will easily accommodate 65-85 people for small get-togethers and parties.
